'If you can breathe, you can do yoga'.
Emily is the mother of two beautiful little humans, and deeply loves Movement and the Breath. She is a certified Bikram, Vinyasa, Yin, Pregnancy/Postnatal Yoga, Pranayama and Pilates teacher.
Emily has been teaching and practicing for 15 years. Emily found Yoga following the unexpected passing away of her Dad in 2009. She found that Yoga pulled her out of the heaviness of grief, into a lifelong journey towards joy, peace and acceptance.
For Emily, Movement is about coming together - the delicate dance of connections. The balance between strength and flexibility, exertion and stillness and the overwhelming bliss of truly being able to let go. Creating mastery over the physical to provide stability for the mind and spirit to expand.
Finding the bridge between your breath and everything life has to offer. She loves inviting her students to move, sweat, breathe, connect and release alongside her.
My journey with yoga started 10 years ago. I was drawn to the idea of having permission to accept things as they are and to slow down my life off of the mat. This has been fundamental for me as I have learnt to let go of attachment whether it be in my practice or my life’s journey.
After receiving so many classes I was inspired that there was so much more to teaching, I had a drive to be part of that. I feel that through teaching I am able to give back to my community by directing the same lessons that I learnt all those years ago. Giving people space to let go of their attachments and move forward through their practice.
Yoga is a constantly evolving experience. Being part of that experience makes me feel excited and curious to learn more about myself and to teach others how they can take this curiosity into their own journey.
I've been teaching yoga for over 10 years, and it's been a deeply fulfilling journey. What I love most about yoga is the way it creates a powerful connection between the mind and body, offering a space to truly reconnect with ourselves.
My priority as a teacher is to cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel safe, seen, and free to be themselves. I hope that each class leaves my students feeling lighter, more grounded, and with a deeper sense of self-love and appreciation.
Yoga has taught me to embrace who I am fully, and to meet life’s changes with an open heart and a flexible mindset. It reminds me daily to stay present, to cherish each moment, and to live with authenticity.
